Chelsea are set to battle fierce rivals Arsenal in a very intriguing Community Shield clash on Sunday, August 6, 2017.

Both teams are not new to each other as they have met on several occasions including the 2015 Community Shield final when the Gunnera defeated the Blues 1-0.

Their last meeting was a pre-season friendly in China when Antonio Conte's men thrashed the Emirates side 3-0.

Chelsea had one of the best midfield partnership in Nemanja Matic and N'Golo Kante last season. With the arrival of Tiémoué Bakayoko from Monaco who seems to be stronger than Matic, the Blues will definitely have a a formidable force in the midfield against the Gunners.

2. Pre-season form

Both teams had their pre-season tour in Asia. Although Chelsea played fewer games than Arsenal, the Blues had a stronger team as they thrashed the Gunners 3-0 in a pre-season friendly.

3. Determination

The Chelsea squad will be more determined to defeat rivals Arsenal in their upcoming Community Shield title having won just 4 Community Shield titles. The Gunners on the other hand have won 14 Community Shield titles.
